- Construction of new 40-foot clear span pre-engineered bridge to reduce stream disturbance and enhance crossing

- Challenging drilling in winter season through roadway fill with cobbles and boulders
- Geotechnical considerations included existing fill with voids and localized wood debris, and potential for differential settlement due to sloping subgrade profile. Glacial till and bedrock were present under one abutment and soft clay on the other
- SGS provided geotechnical explorations, lab testing, and design for the project
- Recommendations were provided for bridge foundations in accordance with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification
