- Project Challenges / Innovation:
- Geotechnical considerations included variation in subgrade soils including marine deposits of varying loose sand and soft clay with shallow groundwater
- Conducted geotechnical explorations with a combination of test borings and CPT to evaluate liquefaction potential of deep sand and settlement potential of soft clay
- Prepared geotechnical design utilizing spread footing foundation systems
- SGS prepared a geotechnical engineering report for the design and construction for the building foundations, pavement areas, and stormwater treatment systems
- Separately completed an infiltration study for stormwater infiltration treatment system
- Provided geotechnical consulting through design and construction including subgrade inspections and a preload program for the building pads
